"From a Feline’s Perspective" is a collaboration project of imaging making between Dusseldorf, a long hair red tabby feline and his best friend photographer Teressa Blickenstaff-Kitts. Dusseldorf walks runs and climbs trees on his 2.5 acres of property with a small pink camera attached to his harness. The camera has an automatic setting allowing the shutter to fire every 5 seconds capturing images of his world from his perspective on his daily walks. I download the digital files from the camera to the computer into Photoshop Creative Suite CS3. The hues are the only part of the image that is manipulated and enhanced to give each photo a vibrant burst of color and to create a mood of intensity. The composition within the images is unedited and kept to there true form showing his perspective of his world. The photo’s are printed onto cards and also made into prints. The blue Dusseldorf trade mark on the back of each card and on the front of each print is Dussel’s very own paw print. He stepped into blue non-toxic tempera paint then onto a piece of white paper. Once dried, the print was scanned into the computer for multiple use on cards and prints. This collaboration team between feline and friend gives back by donating $1.00 from each card or print sale to animal rescue.

I also include my own line of photo cards and prints. My series, Found Obscurities, is a collection of photographs taken while traveling. I like to capture unobtrusive yet obscure objects in an unusual way through light and composition. I use the same process in photo shop on my Found Obscurities series as I do on Dusseldorf’s images to give each image a burst of vibrant color and to create a mood of intensity. Thank you for your support!
