Using her cottage garden and the surrounding West Virginia hills & rivers as inspiration, Lisa makes folksy, functional earthenware pottery. Her simple forms and bright color palette allows her strong sense of graphic design to stand out, bringing birds and vines, rabbits and fish to life.
She first learned to work with clay at the Delaplaine Visual Arts Center in Frederick, MD, and honed her production skills while a studio assistant to two Fredericksburg, Virginia potters. Lisa made West Virginia her adopted home in 2003, and now lives and works on Union Street in Harpers Ferry.
Lisa is a member of Tamarack: the Best of WV, an active participant in regional craft shows, and is represented by a few select galleries nationwide.
